These placemats are made out of burlap.  During a walk, I found some sycamore, maple and red oak leaves.  I used the leaves as a template and marked the templates with a sharpie on the burlap.  Then, craft glue was used on top of the sharpie marks to keep the burlap from fraying.  The leaves were cut out, arranged, and hot glued together.  Finally, acrylic paints were used with sponges to add the fall coloring and blend them.
